Welcome to the North Hamilton Community Patrol web site. This site tells you a little about us.
We do mobile patrols throughout our area, to act as “eyes and ears” for our community. We identify and report situations that may require attention by Police or other agencies, including City Council, security companies and property owners, as appropriate. Where offending is detected we work closely with the Police but don’t directly confront offenders.
Community Patrols are well established throughout New Zealand and help keep your community safer. There are over 100 similar groups in New Zealand who are affiliated to the national organisation Community Patrols of NZ, with more than 4,000 volunteers across New Zealand.
We aim to increase the number of members so we can operate patrols every night of the week. Enquiries from potential members are always welcome. Business sponsorship and donations from individuals are also very welcome.
